Started the car, but the infotainment screen stayed dark. It would move up and down, and continued playing music from my phone that it was last playing yesterday.
Car is a 2015 A8; a Delco 48PS battery was installed by the PO July, 2021.
I had the same thing happen to mine a few weeks ago. Took it to the dealership and their Corvette Tech advised that it need to be rest. Took approximately 3 hours and has been working fine since.

Ah; interesting!
Just to confirm, your screen was dark (but would move up/down), and seemed to have audio functions working (if they were active before the problem)?
mine is the same year model, and what happened on mine is from lowering and raising the screen there are 2 blue wires that rub and break connection. it was about $1100 to replace it at the dealership. the revised screen had a loop on it to keep the wires from wearing. could you do it yourself, possibly, but you have to rip alot of the dash off. i could reach up under the left side of the dash, jiggle the wires and it would come on for a second. this is the revised part

Hah! Yeah, I see why you didn't want to try that. I don't either.
I might have the same loose wire condition you had. I've just noticed that even though the screen is black, it will occasionally 'flash' the screen icons for a brief split-second when being lowered, before it returns to all black again.
I'm really not enthusiastic about having a dealership (or anyone other than me, I suppose) disassemble and reassemble the dash as much as would be needed to replace that unit. I have a CarMax extended warranty that both local Chevrolet dealers would honor, so if a new unit is needed for the repair, I'd pay my $300 deductible, and hope that the dash/console area looks as good after the repair as before.
