The real question is which one can you find (if your looking for catless). I've read the old Borla makes a bit more power on the track (subjective) and has a bit more sound.
But I'm sure you'll get a lot of comments on why the AWE or Corsa is the best so......
You'll see the old Borla for sale on the forum periodically. We put one on our GS back in '18: power difference? didn't care. Sound? Really woke it up without being too obnoxious. Even my wife liked it.
I got a catless corsa well over a year ago and I still had to get it used because they can't make them anymore
I can't imagine you'll find any new catless ones.

there's a ton of new cat-less Borlas on the web now. $350
I bought the Borla catless as soon as they announced they were no longer making for my GS M7. No noticeable performance improvement, but with NPP fuse pulled, it's perfect. It's a little louder without being obnoxious; really sounds good @ WOT. Pull the NPP fuse and it really pops and gurgles on down shifts with Rev Match on. That's me being obnoxious . . .
So yeah, it's definitely worth it IMHO if you can find a used one. Post WTB in the Parts For Sale section and maybe you'll find someone ready to part with theirs.
I was recently in the same boat. Ended up ordering the Extreme online stores one, it is catless. Leave much to be desired for quality and fitment. I would just take the stock pipe to a exhaust shop and have them cat delete it if i could turn back time
yeah prices of any left are high for sure. bill goat exhaust has one still for $800
i would search used if possible on here or ebay or like stated maybe just removing them from stock pipe, but for the price and some shops local might not do it for you if u cant do yourself.
if i needed to get one i guess i would try the eos one.
i got some sound with my change and perhaps just some added performance.
This is definitely the best route to take, and the one that i have on my car. Although you are going to have to get their long tubes to use it as it won't connect to the factory manifolds.
Why don't you just gut the stock X pipe? You have the same labor to remove and replace it even with an aftermarket unit. Instead of paying for an aftermarket unit, pay the labor to drill out and remove the cat material (or do it yourself). In truth the results will be the same, a small improvement in sound.

I'm thinking about doing this. I can just have someone cut out the secondary cats and replace them with a straight pipe and just keep the existing exhaust intact.
