Hi, I’m Frenchy. I bought my first corvette from my brother, who bought it new. It is a 2003, 50th Anniversary, Electron Blue. I should never have sold it. I long for it to this day. I would scroll through the Craigslist ads everyday and on the day before my birthday, I saw an ad for a 2014 Crystal Red base model 3LT and had to have it. The original buyer took such loving care of the car that it looks brand new. I’d like to keep it that way. It has a ceramic coating and I am still researching the best way to maintain it. I am leaning towards CMagic. I got my first bottle of CMagic leather conditioner and bought soft cotton towels to absorb the excess. I saw a C-7 in a parking lot and ran over to take a look. The owner had hit a parking curb and trashed out the front end. To avoid that fate, I am looking at a solar license plate backup camera mounted on the front license plate and WiFi to my iPhone. Hope to have Ruby on a Corvette Museum in Motion trip soon.
105,000 miles, mostly trips from coast to coast. I drove it from the seller’s house to mine, and back again to pick up maintenance records. Bob comes out of his house, pulls a paper napkin out of his pocket and wipes the soot off the exhaust pipes. Old habits die hard.
Frenchy:
Congrats on a very nice car. Be safe in it.
You intro mentions the Museum in Motion tours. If you’ve not done one before, be advised that the Museum in Motion trips put on by the museum are a grade A hoot! We have been on two the last couple years and plan to do more. Met some really nice Corvette nuts and had a blast. We can especially recommend the trip to the National Parks in Southern Utah. Get signed up early because they fill up fast.
