Valved exhuaust
Hello,
Purchased a 2016 Stingray this spring with valved exhaust, there is a valve about 6" before the muffler that is wired into the butterfly valve on the tail pipe after the muffler, trying to find out what the function of the first valve is.

The ones after the mufflers are the performance (NPP) valves.

Those two valves should be wired to separate circuits on the Chassis Control Module since they have different operating characteristics. The valve before the muffler closes everytime the engine switches to 4 cylinder operation (AFM). The valves after the muffler operate in several different modes.
