I know if probably sounds ridiculous. I am stuck pulling my engine out and was looking for some helpful hints.
1.) What is the trick to removing the power cables on the back side of the fuse box without powdering it? I know I am going to need that lid out of the way and why I am trying to remove it.
2.) I have been trying to get the header out the bottom but I am struggling. two of the bolts on the intermediate part before the x pipe were soft so I am trying to pull it out one piece. Cut it? I don't know if I can get up above that connection and if it would be possible to get it out without getting that high.
I have most everything out. Sway bar, steering rack, ac compressor, intake, water pump, alternator, starter. Just struggling with the fuse box and the headers.
I had been referencing that one. I hit the 13mm on the fuse box with a impact as recommended and it ripped the plastic piece off and power strip out of the lid. I am going to cut the headers out. My car has almost 100k and the nuts are seized. Should have the motor out first thing tomorrow morning.

Thanks.
If you're at that spot just finish removing the box. You're going to have to replace the fuse box anyways now. I had this happen when someone overtightened the nut on a car I was working on. You'll have to cut each end of the nut to split it so that you don't damage the power cables. Then you can finish removing the fuse box.
