Redlining while switching on Rev Match.
Don't do this.
Mr.owc6 did this while scaring the **** out of the granddaughter. Blew some code which required clearing by unplugging the battery. He probably has a thousand miles on this car (I'm being generous).
I hate to say it, but he would probably agree, the C6 is more his style.

Sounds like no damage really done, but maybe he learned a lesson.

The rev limiter protected the engine unless you mechanically overreved it. When running on track I have hit the limiter on my car multiple times. It usually happens coming off a corner while I am waiting for people ahead of me to complete passes or waiting for passing signals or both.
