I don't have a problem with the C8 engineering; it's the exterior styling I can't get past.

I see the C7 in a little different light. The C8 will continue to evolve and for how long is anyone's guess. But the six year run of the C7 is done. What is unseen by many is the near perfect weight balance finally achieved in the C7. It's the culmination of Corvette engineering from previous generations rolled up into the second shortest generation of them all. And if you've owned previous generations, specifically the C3, you will instantly recognize some of its DNA within the C7.

I believe the C7 will become the most favored generations of all time.
Funny there’s been guys saying the same thing about the C4 C5 C6 for years….. Go drive it it’s not a collectors item and never will be…. They made too many of them and there’s too many guys afraid to drive them, finding a low mileage mint C7 is easy.

The way I see it, the C8 is a totally dfferent car with the same badging.
I love the uncluttered lines of a C7 far more then the complicated design of a C8
Just my opinion.

OP:

"The C8 is a World Class Sports Car, period."

In fact, it looks like a 2022 McLaren GT.

Many thanks,

Ray

I agree 100% ,the C8 is a mechanical marvel, especially for the price.
However, the OP was refering to design, not engineering stats.
If you can get past ongoing C8 excitement, you just may appreciate the clean uncluttered lines of a C7.

Seeing all generations is really eye opening and mind boggling to what can be accomplished, seeing the change from the C7 to the 8 in itself is amazing . Being able to own one is, . I can't put it into words !!

I've owned c3,4,5,6,7. Some look better than others but each generation performs better than the last. When the c8 prices come down in price its bye bye c7. I'm all about the performance.

I just returned from Carlisle as well and have to say no matter which version of Corvette you adore... you will be humbled. So many beautiful Vettes of all generations to admire.

I simply couldn't stand to look at the C8's cobbled-up, committee designed a**end every time I opened the garage door to drive it. Plus, I would never give a Shivvy dealer a cent over MSRP for ANY vehicle... period. So, the C7, C5, and all my other cars still fill all my stalls.
