Crystal red tintcoat

Hey guys, sold C5 and plan on buying C7. I would like to know if my magnetic red C5 color is nearly the same as Crystal Red Tintcoat? Loved mag red and looking at used C7 with Crystal Red. Thank you.

Crystal Red Tint Coat is a little darker and richer than Magnetic Red.

Thank you 69 L46. I will tell you that mag red from 2000 up on C5 was more pinkish than my 1999 mag red. My 99 was much deeper red in color.

Thanks for responses gentlemen. On this same topic, does anyone know why only 2yr run with this color? I seem to choose the colors that they only produce for short periods of time. C5 Mag Red I (not II) 1yr and now Crystal Red Tintcoat only 2yrs.

My latest Vette is a 2014 Crystal Red Metallic convertible which was a big change for me as my last 5 previous Vettes were all Blue! Took a while to get used to looking out at the exterior rear mirror and seeing Red but now all in! It is for sale if anyone interested!

JMO, but if you liked the mag red color on the C5, the crystal red on the C7 is a great choice.

I love my Crystal Red 2014 convertible. Sadly, if I am recalling correctly, only about 6% chose CR so out it went. Could be worse, look at Lime Rock Green...1% take rate and gone in one year.
