I'm going to be installing an A&A Supercharger on my 2017 Stingray once it arrives. The directions recommend to remove the hood for the install. My question is, Is it better to remove the hood from the hinges (leaving the hinges attached to the car) or remove the hood where the hinges attach to the car (leaving the hinges attached to the hood)? I have looked on YouTube for a video but have had no luck finding a hood removal video. Thanks for any and all suggestions!
I have always left the hinges on the car and just unbolted the hood and sat it off. Before I unbolted the hood from the hinges, I would mark the hood in the place that it was bolted on to the hinges either by lightly scratching it with a small nail or by using a sharpie or maybe a pencil so when I put it back on it would be in the same place and would align properly when I bolted it back on.
At the Corvette assembly plant in Bowling Green the hinges are on the hood at time of installation. The hood is set in place, latched, and the hinges bolted to the frame rails once the side gaps are verified.
If it were me, I'd do it the same way they do at the factory. I assume there is a reason it is done that way that people smarter than me designed.
If you are not removing the front facia, then you will need to remove the hood from the hinges.

I was not planning to remove the front facia. I will most likely follow SeniorStoreKeeper's and others advice and remove the hood from the hinges. Thanks!
Yeah, I wasn't sure about the facia. Sometimes supercharger installs involve removing the facia for fitting of components like intercoolers, pumps, coolant hoses and charge piping.
All I've ever done I've left the hinges on the car. Mark exactly how they are positioned on the hood first, though, before doing anything! That's so you can get it back the exact same location without a lot of frustrating trial & error adjustments.
