I live in Florida. 9 days out of 10 we're seeing 90%+ humidity. I opened the passenger side door while cleaning last weekend and noticed some surface mildew to the right of the glovebox (around the corner) and only seen when the passenger door is open. I'm guessing it's caused by the small AC vent on the pillar above? Has anyone else seen this? Does anyone have a solution?
Thank you!
Maybe some water from a slightly opened window got down there. Wipe it off and see if it comes back. Just a guess since no picture to verify spot. I am in Florida too and have never had that happen in any car.

Good thought on checking to see if any areas inside the cabln where watere may have come in. Clean up the area, let it completely air out and then keep an eye on it. I have not had any issues like that with my C7.
If it is a white powder I think it might be a product of the plastic out gassing. I see that on my car and truck and clean it up with with interior trim cleaner. I have gotten water in the interior through the mirror heater vent though while blow drying the car after washing but not in that area.

I just checked my car and I don’t have that issue. If it were me, I’d wipe it off using a Clorox wipe and keep an eye on it. My guess is that some water got in there and caused the mildew you see.
As a side note…after I wash my car, I always wipe out any water that gets inside the door jambs because the excess moisture attracts dust/dirt. I need to be more diligent doing that after I drive in the rain…
Thanx for all the replies. I re-indexed the pass. window this morning, so waiting to see if that helps. There was moisture in the area this morning, and I did not drive the car yesterday. So it's looking like a rain issue and not an A/C issue. The image below shows the area. The mildew wipes right off. The 2 or 3 inches below the pillar vent feels a little damp, so I'm just wondering if the moisture is coming in higher up (by the soft top/windshield junction) and finding its way down? I'll know more after the window re-index testing. Thank you all!!
...and, never use any sort of "power" washer or go through such systems.
???
We've been using the power wand at self-serve or the drive-through touchless places for over 20 years/250k miles, on 4 different Corvette coupes. Our C5 would dribble a couple of drops down the side windows sometimes, I'd wipe them off. The C6/C6/C7 have not leaked at all, and no paint problems. What problems have you had?

…just checking…you realize that just wiping off mold and mildew doesn’t kill it right (it comes right back). You need to clean the area with something that will kill it which is why I suggested the Clorox wipes originally. Good luck.
Thank you for the clorox wipe suggestions - will do. I need to do a little more testing, but I did find a youtube video with someone who has a very similar problem to mine caused by a small hole in the windshield gasket, all the way up by the top.
