Has anybody found a way to disable the HSA on the c7s? Read on the camaro forums where they swapped out there yaw sensor with one from an automatic car and that worked. Anyone done this on the c7s?
Can’t help you with your question, but am curious why you would want to disable that feature.
Concur. After driving my C7 with HSA and then driving the C6 without it, I often forget and find myself rolling back farther than expected. Generally speaking I am not in favor of "nanny" aids like adaptive cruise control and autonomous braking, but this is one feature on the C7 I really like.
Incorrect assumption. It’s intrusive to the point that I wait the second or so for it to let go before driving off.
it's not an assumption, I have it
Yours is clearly malfunctioning because nobody else's does that
it releases the second you begin letting the clutch out
I killed it on one of my previous Camaros OP. As for vettes, my previous 16 M7 Z51 had it, but my current 19 is an A8. It was more of an annoyance than help on my steep driveway. Especially annoying when loading/unloading the cars off my trailer. I'd be interested in finding out if any C7 members have actually disabled it.

I looked up the yaw sensor and it looks like the same one is used in both auto and manual. I asked my tuner if he can disable it but he cant. Need to find out what signal the sensor puts out and maybe either be able to use a resistor or a short across it. Ill try to find a schematic of it.

I’d be very interested in what you discover. The fifth gen Camaros were pretty straight forward, auto and manual yaw sensor. I believe that changed with the 6th gens, and across the board at GM. I say that because both my 16, and now 19 Tahoes had/have the hill assist built into the auto trans. That wasn’t a thing in the early 2010s.
I have no problem with it, but it is rather inconsistent, at least in my car... but, I must admit that I had the original "Hill Holder" in several of my Studebakers that works flawlessly.
95% of the time Im driving on flat surfaces so it rarely kicks in. I do find it annoying when it does activate because of the slight delay to disengage. Having driven manuals my whole life (like many of us) I can start driving on a grade without revving and slipping the clutch.
They could have put a light on the dash or the DIC to indicate its on but that ship has sailed.
