Default Water spot problem

I have a long Beach red Z51 C7. Water spots are killing me. What products are best for removing or should I get a detailer?

My water isnt very hard but I get spots at times. Chemical Guys water spot remover works well. A ceramic coat will help prevent spots in the future. Check out the detailing sub forum. Lots of info there.

PS - why is the subject title "Tony"?

I agree with the recommendation to check out the Car Care section - lots of very knowledgeable people there who can recommend ways to removed, and prevent, water spots.

Maybe post some pictures so we can see what the issue looks like. They make specific products to help with this. Also matters how you're washing the car.

If you can’t get them out with product. The only way is to machine polish them out, then put a good ceramic coating on and that will help tremendously. Good luck

You can also use vinegar to dissolve water spots: https://cleantools.net/blogs/news/ho...rd-water-spots

putting inline filter on my hose helped clean up my normal public water some more.
the vinegar solution helped remove some from my glass and other areas as well.
I try to wash my car with low sun but sometimes cant help it. I do try to dry quickly.
was thinking about washing inside garage need to get the floor and sides sealed up dont trust getting that much water in there.
maybe need to get a canopy to cover the car during washes so i can take my time.

I haven't had that issue. But I use a Eforccar Electric Car Washer High Pressure Car Washer Pump. And it only cost $50. I fill it with distilled water for washing and rinsing. I have only had to wash my car five times in the last two and a half years so the price of the distilled water isn't a factor. Washing and rinsing only takes about 5 gallons of it total. It could get a little expensive and tedious I suppose if you have to wash often. All I can say is if you use distilled water you'll never had a water spot issue.

A clay bar will remove them, and instead of drying after a wash, I use a automotive blow dryer instead of a shamy or a towel leaves no spots. It’s the only way to remove the water totally leaving no moisture on the paint surface. And mcguires spray wax will keep it from happening from rain.

Try vinegar... Works for me. If vinegar does not work... I get out the heavy equipment - My 25 year old Porter Cable polisher.

I try not let my car get dirty. I never get my car wet when cleaning. I wipe it down with damp microfiber towels

When I got my Long Beach Red, it had a lot of water spots from prior owner.
I used Chemical Guys Water Spot Remover. Worked small areas at a time lightly, went back over a few areas again, then polished and waxed.
Took some time, but have great results.

Our family owns a large auto repair shop and we wash about 5 to 8 cars a day on average. when we found this product we felt very fortunate because the water spot war seemed hopeless. This works fantastic and is worth every penny. Its made by Superior.... "Formula 4 spray wax" and is sold at a lot of places. You will thank me as it cuts down your dry time as well as water spots.

There are good quality water filters that will fix ya up; however, don't bother with the cheapo screw-on to your garden-hose jobbies. They are junk. All the best.

Once you do get all the water spots off, put a good layer of ceramic coating on it. Then when you wash it, the water just rolls off it. In fact, I had mine ceramic coated professionally last Sept and haven't washed it since. I just wipe it down with either a damp soft microfiber towel or sometimes use Griots ceramic spray detailer (blue bottle). Before I got it coated I would blow dry it with my yard blower. Got every drop off quickly without having to leave any swirl marks from a drying towel
