My passenger side headlight is fluttering. I did a search and some people have reported this problem in the past but with no real solutions. I have had several HID equipped vehicles and none have had this problem. Drivers side seems fine. Its extremely annoying seeing street signs flickering in the distance and its distracting.... cant imagine what it looks like from head on traffic. Has anyone found a solution for this, or am I gonna have to buy a new headlight?
I have no idea since I never looked at how the whole lamp unit is fastened in place. Could one or more of any fasteners be loose that holds lamp reflector or such be loose? Just spitballing. Another thought, does it flicker in conjunction with pavement ripples or in a completely random way?🤫
I haven't taken bumper off to check tabs yet but the headlight assembly seems solid just pushing on it from the outside. If I pull up behind a truck or suv at a light... I can see the fluttering sitting still sometimes.
Have not heard of this symptom before. Could be as simple as a loose connection. It could be the ballast. The bulb usually works or is fully out. Keep us posted.
This problem has been noted since the C7 came out. Flip the headlights to high beam and back. There is a shutter that moves inside the light. Maybe some exercise will solve the problem.
Headlights are sealed units and the bulbs are not easily replaceable. The whole bumper panel needs to come off for access.

I've had this issue before. HID bulb is failing and needs to be replaced. Job is not as bad as it sounds, but the front bumper cover has to come off. If you do it yourself be sure to put blue masking tape along all of the edges to avoid scratching the paint.
