I just purchased a C7, and I used a battery tender on my C6, which was no iss seeing the batter is easily accessible, but in the C7 with it in the rear under the carpet can I still use the Battery Tender Junior with the terminals and quick disconnect? If not, what is available for the C7
Yes you can. But much easier to order a cigarette lighter adapter and use the socket in the trunk. Another option is to use alligator clamps to the connections under the hood.
I use the Ctek that came with my current C7, but I've had persistent trouble with the male lighter connector, and even though I still use it I don't recommend it for that reason. I used a Deltran BT+ with the lighter adapter mentioned by Maxpowers and it worked fine on my first C7. With the conventional Deltran connector I also used it on a C6, a C2, as well as several other vehicles over the 17 years I've owned it. It just won't die, even though it looks like a war casualty having been run over more than once by several Harleys and otherwise abused by just being in my garage for that amount of time. If you want to test something for durability, put it in my garage for a few years.
I might also mention that after the fuse blew on the lighter connector of my C7 recently I rigged the Ctek up with a Deltran connector connected directly to the battery with an in-line fuse. That solved the lighter issues for me and I never bothered pulling the carpet in the trunk to replace the fuse. Will look at it when I change the battery in the future.
I used a BT Jr. on my Harley with success and others have reported they also work fine on a C7. You don't need a powerful charger for this job, just something to reliably keep specific gravity at a favorable level over time. I've had good luck with Deltran products over the years and recommend them.
I'm currently using the BT+ on my truck and a Deltran Solar BT on my ZTR mower, and reluctantly let the BT Jr. go when I sold the Harley.

Cheapest option. Order it on Amazon or where ever. I bought one for my Battery Tender Plus and it was like $8 shipped.
Get a Battery Tender Jr and the 12v adapter that goes with it. Total cost for both will be less that $50 and it will last for many years. I hook mine up when I put it away for the winter and take it off sometime in March or April. Its hooked up 24/7.
I used the battery tender in my C5. When I traded it for a C6, I kept the battery tender and used it in that car. I sold the C6 and bought a C7. I kept the tender and got an adapter for the 12 volt plug in the trunk. It works fine.
Thanks for all the replies. Last night I decided to use the lead that attaches to the battery terminals under the bolts. I left about 3 inches out of the carpet to plug the tender into. I may look for the one that will plug into the port that was built into the car. Question ie will they work on the Tender Jr.
Does anyone use a solar panel as a charger/tender solution? Since I’m not in the position to run a power cable to my C6, I would like to put a solar charger/tender on the dash and plug into the accessory outlet in the center console.

Center console wont work. It is not live with the car off. I used to have a soler panel for a boat. Worked great. Not sure about using it in the vette.
