Default 2014 problems with seat memory seting

I received my 2014 Z51 yesterday and cannot getting the seat, mirror and steering wheel settings go into memory. I sold my 2006 to purchase this wonderful machine and it was very easy to set. In the C7 if I get out the seat goes forward and tries to crush me against the steering wheel and dash. I have read the instructions in the owner's manual with no success. I press the set button and the 1 button and never hear a beep.
I love this vehicle and there is no comparison between the C7 and C6.

Try the "auto memory recall" setting in the comfort and convenience part of the infotainment screen?

Just bought mine a few months ago. Try the other fob. Mine tried to crush me to death as well.

You have to enable it in the settings.

Default 2014 M7 seat memory update

If you have a manual transmission you may need a software update. Does your memory recall screen have choices ON / OFF or OFF / AT DOOR OPEN /IGNITION ON?

If only on/off it functions as off /door open. There is a software fix to change to the 3 choices. You want ignition on. 2015 and later ON is the same as AT IGNITION ON. See image of service ticket below for the doc # and PI #. The software update was free when under warranty - I expect they will charge you now.

You have the wrong fob. Try the other one. Using fob #2 to program #1 in the car will do what you described.
