If the oil pressure sensor goes bad it will prevent the engine form starting to protect the engine. There are dozens of things that it could be, need to dive into a full diagnostics. Anything from a busted sensor wire to a failed oil pump or spun bearings, and lots of stuff in between. Sounds like you need a quality Technician to take a look. Here's hoping it's something cheap and easy!!

The thing that worries me most is that the engine runs as if idling.
Initially I thought I had broken the chain between the crankshaft and cam.
Last week traveling on the highway the display was showing "speed or power reduction" I don't remember well.
The car stopped due to inertia.
Once stopped a new message appeared on the display "turn off engine" and the red oil light came on. Turned off immediately.
My Corvette never came on again.
The engine once revved to start seems to run in a mild mode (almost no compression)
I disassembled the valve cover and apparently everything works properly.
During the problem I saw no smoke or heard any strange noises.
Does anyone know what could be the problem?
Thanks
