I know there have been some post on this subject and there was or is a solution to it my having the dealer drain and fill it with a different type of fluid. My question is I noticed the other day while driving on the interstate going to a show while cruising along, I would feel a little shutter almost like driving over small rumble strips. Not a big shutter just a very slight feeling. It seemed many times it happened when I accelerated or let off the gas just a little. Is this the transmission shutter that is known to happen in the 2015 and is it a dealer fix.
Those are the classic symptoms for the shudder, many have had success with the triple flush, I would get a least a couple quotes from different dealers, as the price seems to vary.
$962 for the triple flush at my dealer. (599 labor) (224 fluid ) (30.92 filter) tax/shop supplies etc .There are no mechanics available anywhere and mine took almost a week just to change the fluids. Shifts way smoother now.
Mine was only 2 months out of warranty.
My 2016 shuddered at city speeds but never at Hwy speeds. Almost undriveable. The flush fix worked like a charm. Added a Range device for extra measure and to stay out of 4 cylinder mode. Who wants a 4 cylinder Corvette?

If you'd like to test to see if it is the shudder that needs the triple flush, slip the transmission into "M". If the shudder goes away, then you need the flush. Another way to "hide" the problem is to buy a "Range" device. When that is plugged in, the shudder usually stops BUT it is hiding the problem, not fixing it.
Ok, so I just purchased this car (2015 3LT A8) about 4 weeks ago. I never noticed the shudder around town that I can remember, but this past weekend I went to a Corvette and Chevy show so I was on the interstate almost the entire way. At first, I simply thought it was the road that caused the shudder or slight vibration. Then I realized it happened more than once and if I remember correctly, it seemed to do it whenever I accelerated. I did however purchase a bumper-to-bumper platinum extended warranty. I doubt the triple flush would be covered under it, but if the transmission goes south, I am covered. I did not see the flush on the Carfax and the last owner had all her records in a binder in the car when I bought it and nothing on that. It did go back to the dealers for a transmission issue about 4 years ago for a hard engagement when shifting into reverser.
I have a 2015 C7, did the triple flush in 2018 , never had a problem since then.
I don’t remember the Dealer cost , but never sorry I did it.
actually my neighbor had it done , and I followed his lead.
good luck.
Check out this thread on Lubegard.
I started to have a shudder with light throttle in slow traffic at 25,000 miles and used 2oz Lubegard Shutter Fixx and it stopped the shutter.
After that I added 10 oz bottle of Lubegard Platinum 63010 Universal ATF Protectant.
Since then I've put on just over 6,000 miles and still going strong.
Just had triple flush done last week at the dealer. Free of charge for me but mines a ‘19 under CPO warranty. I’ve heard some have had success having the service covered even if out of warranty if the dealer can see in the records it’s never been done before on that car. There is an actual TSB for this so print that out online and bring with you to the dealer or make it known when you call that you know this is a known issue and exactly how to fix it. Good luck. Also get a Range Technologies AFM disabler for $220 and keep plugged in from now on.

I think price isn't a good way to go about this since hourly rates can vary, Make sure they have the equipment to do it first. See it if possible. Make sure they have the Corvette certified tech and not some quick lube guy.
It it only happens at highway speeds and when slowing or speeding up, could it just be his car engaging/disengaging v4 mode? I can tell when my car switches....there is a little bump feeling. I suppose one could described it as a shutter. I am not really sure what a shutter feels like though.

I’m thinking that is what he is feeling. Switching from V4 to V8. It is a very slight vibration. On my car the transmission shudder lasted much longer during shifts. No mistaking it for the V4 to V8 transition.
Anyone that had the flush before Feb 2019 most likely did not get the latest Mobil 1 Blue label ATF fluid.
Thats when it became available.
You need the Blue label fluid to properly fix the issue.
Yes. And that Feb 2019 date is the build date of the transmission. Not the car build date on the door. The build date of the transmission is stamped on the transmission.

I had the exact same issue on my 2015. The shudder only occurred on the freeway.
Do you have the GMMP extended warranty? If so, I was able to recently have the triple flush performed for $0 out of pocket. The dealership will need to submit the warranty claim for approval via the online GMMP portal. They typically approve within 1-2 days.
I'm glad it was covered because I was quoted $850-1200.
The triple flush completely fixed the problem!
Also recommend installing the Range AFM Device.

That's worth writing a letter to Mary Barra asking GM to cover the $962 due to the short time since the warranty expired. Send copies of the receipts in the letter.
