infotainment Apps

For a c7 1LT is it possible to add more apps to the standard catalogue?
If I posted this in the wrong place please educate me.

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately, this only downloads the apps in the stock catalogue. What I would like to do is download other apps such as siriusxm or pandora for example.

I thought Apple Carplay was standard on all the Corvettes.
You could use your phone to access the Apps.

The simple answer is no. You can only download the apps in the catalogue. Pandora, I Heart Radio, Dash Radio, Fox Sports Etc...There are 12-14 apps in total. XM is not a app but built into the radio as is Apple Car Play and Android Auto. The latter came in 2016?

Nope, 2014s missed all that good stuff and I got the 3LT. I had to add a front camera and updated the radio to the 2017 model (3 pieces) to get Carplay and messages. I think the 2015s didn't get a front camera with the 1LT version.

You can. Whichever CarPlay app that’s available to download onto your phone will appear on screen if you have the Infotainment upgrade.

The upgrade is worth the $$ in my opinion. Never thought CarPlay was a big deal until I used it in a rental car. I quickly installed it in my’15. Now I want it in my ‘15 Colorado 🤓

No you can't. Were not talking what you can do with your phone, but what you can do with the cars system. Only the apps from the catalogue can be put on the radio.

You missed this. I said IF you upgrade your system.
I wasn’t aware CarPlay works without your phone attached apparently. So the newer systems have this functionality without an attached phone?
