I went the eBay hi temp vinyl sticker route and am very happy with the results. It took a little patience with a soap water solution and a gentle touch to "squeegee" the water out from under all the tiny letters but in the end I think it looks much nicer than anything I could have done with a brush or spray can and masking tape. There were like $20 shipped.

Just did mine with the $18 ebay vinyl. Came out great! Just very carefully sand off the red. Use plenty of the water/soap mixture and you can move them around for plenty of time to align everything. I found a toothpick worked great to make sure the vinyl was no over the edge of the raised lettering. Also spray your fingers with the water soap mixture. Oh and be gentle getting the letters off the backing paper, I stretched one... thankfully they provide an extra.
