I have a question...I currently own a 1993 Cadillac Allante that I have been using as my summer car since 2005....I think it's time to move up...the car has been good to me, fun to own and owes me nothing...here is my issue...I play golf at least three times a week and the car sits in the parking lot in the sun for 5 hours at a crack...this past yr has been really hard on the top of the dash...it has become discolored in spots and looks like crap...I know at times when I get back into the car the dash and steering wheel are so hot its hard to touch...there is some shade but then **** from the trees falls on the car...can't win unless I quit playing golf and that ain't happening...the car is in the garage always...paint has not been affected..should I buy a Corvette, am I going to be facing the same problem?....thanks for input...Craig
Been using a custom-fit sunshade in my 2017 since new...its sits in the sun all day when I drive it to the office for the day and the dash still looks brand new!
Come on; just buy a good windshield sun shade some come with a carry bag and just leave it in the back, (along with your microfiber cloth and bird 'deposits' spray) until needed.
Sunscreen for sure, stay out from under trees if possible & probably stay away from 3LT dashboards since several threads, across all C7s, about dash material sometimes coming unglued. 👍
