rip is about the pinkly place I have seen doing this and im not sure they even do it anymore. even if they do the cost is stupid high, 1 for the part painted and the shipping is as much as the paintwork. expect to pay close to 1000$ for a painted liner shipped
There are vendors that supply painted hood liners and people that specialize in custom painting to your design. The cost is high because it is a very special talent plus the cost of shipping the hood liner is not cheap. You might want to check your area for custom painters that do air brushing. Chech out their work and then you may save on the shipping.
I opted to have mine airbrushed by a local to me guy. As mentioned, they get pricey which is why I just had mine done. He did the cross flags flames (using the impression in the OEM liner) and added the Grand Sport logo
I had the hood liner on my 19 GS airbrushed by Kim Correll with "Happenin' Cats Airbrush" in Kennesaw, GA (just north of Atlanta). I purchased an extra OEM hood liner from my local Chevy dealership and picked it up for $110. I gave it to Kim to work on at his shop. He and I worked on the Batman design from a picture. We made some additions to it (like adding the Jake skull, the "Vroom"). It was definitely a team approach. He has a binder full of cool hood liner designs if you prefer to pick one out instead. He is truly an artist and get this-- Kim is color blind to some degree. Unfortunately (or fortunately) I recently bought a 19 Z06 and sold the GS. I took the Batman off the GS before selling. But I learned that a GS hood liner will not secure properly on a Z06 because of the Supercharger height. I asked my wife if I could hang Batman in the living room since I consider it art work. That didn't go over too well. It's in my office hanging proudly.
