I have adrenalin red seats in my C7 Grand Sport 2LT 2017. They are showing wear on the upright panels from entering the car and the bottom panels have some wear as well. Not crazy about just putting covers over the existing seats. Has anyone replaced the factory covers and if so what brand did you use and how difficult were they to replace. Thanks for any help.
I'll be doing exactly that soon. I was able to get a set of slightly used OEM skins from a member here (he also still has a set of brand new OEM that he mistakenly ordered the wrong ones). They're adrenaline red though, which is what you mean?
Anyway, various videos on YouTube on how to, and looks fairly easy.
@candyredwing is the member selling the skins, and here's the link
Someone posted a DIY on this here. I believe it was a conversion to Comp seats but the process will be the same. I recall it wasnt hard but just took a bit of time.
I did the comp conversion on my 3lz gt seats. took about 2 days total not that hard but will wear on your fingers getting the seams straight and in to the groove. if you want to move away from the red seats I still have the 3lz jet black and alcantara covers the foam the backs and airbag covers. seat heaters are still in the foam
I have a set of these red and black seat skins from Leatherseats.com if you’re interested. I was planning to use them for a custom C5 seat conversion but went in a different direction. 100% leather and I can feel the quality. They recommend professional installation.
the covers themselves are fairly straight forward to replace, time consuming for sure and just be careful and take time. I had to walk away a few times to regain calm.. the hardest part is getting seat out in my opinion and on a nice work area. then placing the new ones on properly and securely without damaging them. I should of did my bottom cover at the same time after getting a real close look at it, but just replaced the top and did the comp seatback conversion so that adds tons more work. just replacing the covers should be much quicker. best of luck.
yeah i would try to find oem replacements first.
Ran a trim shop once and it's hard to replace skins. They use a steamer and a lot of hard work. Ask a trim shop how much to R&R covers and know they will fit well.
Looked at their website and they don't show any C7 skins?
Replied to PM. They have to be custom ordered so that's why they don't list the C7 seats on the website. Production time is 20 weeks. Below is a link to their installation video where I first saw the seats and reached out to them directly.

Factory covers don't need any of that. You can do it with basic hand tools and some patience.
I replaced the bottoms and backs on both of my adrenaline red seats with factory skins ordered from a GM parts supplier. Wasn't a huge deal and the GT conversion thread gave me an idea of what I was in for. I would recommend if you order factory covers they run your VIN to be sure you chose the correct covers. They caught an error in my order and it saved me a big headache getting the wrong part.
