Have you ever thought about the history of your Corvette?
I knew some what on my C4, as the VIN told which car it was as it came off the line. It was no. 537 out of some 51,000 model year C4s.
So the hunt was on!
For the last year of the C7, only 1,728 Stingray Coupes w/Z51 were made. Of that, only 513 Ceramic Gray were done.
My car left the factory on 8/20/19 and was received at a West Coast location on 8/22/19. On 12/23/20 it was sent to another dealer. Some time later it was sold. It was sold back to the dealer and I bought it 5/18/22 with 24000 miles on the clock. It now has >16,000!

What is your story?
mine was a factory order so went to the dealer and straight to my garage
I recently dug into my history as much as I could. Got most of the information from the VIS report.
My '17 GS was built on 12/16 and used as a corporate show/display car until 3/17, when it was then sent to Manheim Auto Auction in PA. Bryner Chevrolet in PA bought the car and since it was never titled/registered, it was sold as new with 5 miles on it. The first owner bought the car and eventually traded it back into Bryner Chevrolet on 1/21 with just over 10,000 miles on it. 3 days after Bryner Chevrolet listed it on their website, I took a trip to go see the car and was planning on making an offer on it. Unfortunately, the car had already sold in those 3 days so the hunt was on for the exact same spec. Fast forward to 3/22, I find the same exact car for sale on Auto Trader from the guy who bought it a year earlier from Bryner Chevrolet. We negotiated a price, and I took a road trip to see the car and brought it home before it got away from me for a second time.
Now if only there was a way to tell exactly how GM used the car while it was a display vehicle.

I have found out who the first owner of my car was, where it was ordered from, its born on date, and why the first owner traded the car in. Other than that, I haven't dug into the history of the car.
Before I purchased mine from a Florida dealership I saw the dash plaque with the original owner's name on it. I looked up his name and on the first try I was able to contact him and found that he had ordered the same exact specs I would have if I had gotten. Since he is older (late 60's), he never raced or abused the car and the gentleman had a garage full of high end cars (Porsche, Ferrari, etc) including another C7 Z06 in similar spec and color but in coupe form. He also sent me pics of the car in front of his beautiful mansion with the top down along with the original window sitcker and I quickly made a new friend. Very nice person who put my mind at ease. He mentioned "hiding money in the car" too but I haven't found it yet... lol.. The purchase from there with the dealership was smooth as silk as I traded my 19' Z51 3LT for the 19' Z06 3LZ convertible and arranged for shipping of both cars.
My sig shows the vital stats. Never knew anything more about our C5, but the C7 was owned by a person about 1 hour north of us in Russellville, although we bought the car from Penske Chevrolet in Indianapolis, IN.
My 2014 was originally ordered by a dealer in Kansas. It was a 3 LT with Z51, It was loaded onto a trailer and sent to some casino in Las Vegas to be used as some kind of grand prize. Apparently it was won twice, but both winners decided to take the cash instead. It was eventually returned to the dealer in Kansas and put into storage, not being able to sell it. The dealer that I bought it from here in South Dakota, bought it from the Kansas dealer, and then I bought it. What is really interesting is that when I bought it in 2019 (it was 5 years old at the time), it only had 8 miles on it. It had never been sold, titled or registered before I bought it. But what was really disappointing is that Chevrolet would not offer me any of the 3/36 factory warranty, even though it only had 8 miles on it and had never be titled or registered. Thats my story.
