Ok, I purchased my 2015 after spending 11 years with my C6 and before that my C5 for 6 years. So, I as I stated a 2015 with the A8 transmission. I will admit I did not do my full homework before buying my C7, but I learned of the Trans shutter on here. I never noticed it as I drive almost 100% of the time in the manual mode. My question is, do all dealers or should I say are all dealer equipped to do the triple flush and second if I drive it in the manual mode should I get it done as soon as possible? I did see the Car Fax prior to the purchase, and it had the torque converter replaced in 2017. Also, the previous owner left all the service reports and many from a local Chevy dealer and nowhere does it indicate that the car had the triple flush done, unless of course there are service places besides the GM dealership that could or would perform it.
Typically, if you drive in Manual Mode, you most likely will never notice the shudder because it happens when the car shifts from 8 cyls. down to 4 in AFM mode. A lot of guys use the Range Device which keeps the car in 8 cyls. at all times.
Congrats on your C7! The shudder isn't known to most people other than folks on the C7 forums, so don't feel bad you are only now learning about it
are all dealers equipped to do the triple flush = NO! a surprisingly large # of dealers aren't familiar with TSB 18-NA-355 Corvette A8 (dated Aug 2019). https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...63890-9999.pdf
Keeping contacting local dealers and shops until you find one that is familiar with the flush and this TSB. Some folks have had the flush performed at Cadillac and GMC service centers since they are also familiar with the A8 transmission. It will cost between $600-950. You can try to see if the dealership will cover it since torque converter was replaced in 2017 with the old fluid (prior to the 2019 TSB). Even, if you have to pay out of pocket- it's absolutely worth the money for peace of mind and reliability
and second if I drive it in the manual mode should I get it done as soon as possible? There's no major rush. If you drive it in manual mode, you shouldn't feel the shudder. However, driving 100% manual mode isn't very practical.
I had the triple flush performed in Oct 2022 on my 2015 C7....wow- what a massive difference!!! Feels so much better now.
As mentioned above, highly recommend the Range Device. The Soler ported throttle body is also a great mod. https://www.solerengineering.com/gen...s?category=LT1
Range Device + triple flush + Solar TB = perfection!!!!

This is good info. If you want to do the triple flush, it won't hurt anything other than cost some cash.
I thought there was also a problem with the previous fluid and moisture. Misremembering? I'd change to the new spec oil just to help prevent any further issues with the torque converter.
Our 2016 Z51 had the triple flush with new fluid Mobil 1 Syn LV ATF HP 124715 done 3 1/2 years ago. No shudder especially since I installed Range Device just after the new fluid.

So let me get this straight. I read that the shutter was due to moisture in the original Trans fluid. So, you get the triple flush and install the Range device how are these two connected? The Range device simply stops the switching from 8 to 4 cylinders, I I thought that had nothing to do with the shutter.
When in 4 cylinder mode, the torque converter is designed to have 11 RPM slip to minimize vibration. Difficult to control slip to this small number. The new & improved fliuid does reduce or eliminate shutter. Since the Range Device does not allow the system to enter 4 cylinder mode, it also will eliminate shutter. Different modes although elimination of shutter is a common item.
Just got my 2019 GS back from the dealer 2 days ago. They replaced the belt tensioner and rear differential because I noticed some rattling and shudder when driving.
I drove it 100 miles yesterday and the rattling was gone but the shudder was still there. I'm going to take it back in and ask for a triple flush of the transmission fluid.
What pisses me off is that you would think after 5 years of making the C7 they would have this problem fixed.
If the dealer doesn't fix it this time around I'm going to sell it in the spring and go a different direction.
