Prices are still pretty high in today's market. I suggest you take a look at the C7 Corvettes for Sale and see what might be out there from other forum members. You could also post a wanted to buy thread in that section and outline what you are looking for and what your budget is - that way if someone has one like you are looking for, they can get in touch with you.

That's a great list of cars; best of luck adding a Z06 to it! And thank you for your service!
The 19 is a 1LT which it sounds you don't really want. The 16 is a 3LT which will have a front camera for parking along with the Navigation/PDR. You don't say what the transmission is on either of them, is that a don't-care item? The other thing that can affect owner enjoyment is the seats. Do they have GT seats or Competition Seats? The Competition seats have racing harness shoulder belt passthrough holes on each side of the seat back and seat back side bolsters that come up higher on the torso than the standard GT seats. Some people don't like how the Comp seat feels against their torso.
The differences between the 2016 and 2019 years are the 19 will have a larger radiator if it has an A8 or will have an auxiliary radiator if it is an M7. Either the larger radiator on the A8 or the M7 Aux radiator can be added to the 2016 and GM did have a manufacturer's extended warranty on 2015s and 16s to have either installed in the car if it had experienced engine overheating while on a road course. The warranty went 2 years beyond the normal 5-year powertrain duration, it may be expired on the 16 depending on when it was initially put into service. The 2019 also has the latest shock absorber calibrations for the MRC system. These can be added to a 2016 by purchasing the update from GM for $350.
Other differences show up in an improved dash track display that provides a selection of either digital or analog gauges and includes engine coolant temperature Vs analog gauges and only engine oil temp data in the 2016 track display. Since the 2016 doesn't have the engine coolant gauge in the track display most people use the Tour Display for both street and track.
The cooling enhancements don't do much if anything if you don't track the car. Z06s don't have a cooling issue when driven on the street/highway.
Both convertibles. Both are priced right around $68k. Both in California. It looks like it's going to be hard to stay under $70 unless you go with a 2015 or a 2016. Things are changing all the time. They are out there.
I think that all Z06's in any year would be a very good vehicle for street use. I personally would try to stay away from the 3LT or 3LZ models because of the delamination problems with the leather dash and door panels. They don't all do it but seems like a good number of them do and it is a very expensive fix, 1LT and 2LT do not have that problem. Good luck.

Thanks for all the feedback. I found a 2019 white/red chrome wheels about 10,000 in options . About 500 miles from me. One owner .. mileage 26,000 and still time on warranty until August and I guess I could purchase extended one. A lot of carbon fiber package and upgraded data radio .... So anymore advice $73.500 price
Nothing wrong with 16-18 Z's I would keep searching for one with 2LZ trim and/or everything you want.
I made a budget and stuck with it, especially since I knew once I got it (most likely out of state) I had to deal with inspection, taxes, tags, title, etc.. which was another few grand.
good luck in your searching, no need to rush, took me 4 months to finally find and settle on something. yes sometimes you miss out of one, etc.. but it usually will works out in the end.
Roket, you didn't say what your budget is but the C7 Z06 prices are still in the 70k + range. You can look at Autotrader to get an idea of what the current market is

First and foremost, thank you for your service and sacrifices. Welcome back home!
Now the matter at hand. This 2019's asking price is pretty much aligned with pre-owned dealership listing prices. Therefore, it still has a hefty profit return to the selling dealership. Perhaps from a private seller, you could offer another $3K less depending on how "eager" the seller is. The mileage isn't screaming low for most 2019 of in this category as I've seen them come into the market or are still in the market from dealers around my state with less than 10K on the clock. An extended warranty might set you back a few more dollar$ but should be well worth it especially if you are stretching your budget to acquire one at the sub-$70K asking price.
Finally, going with the last year of the front-engine Corvette for me would be additional uniqueness and bragging. Because I've had the extreme pleasure of owning seven of these wonderful 'glass cars over the years. All front-engine fire breathers.
Hi Roket, welcome to the forum! And thank you for your service.
Some good thoughts above. I'll add just one. Don't settle. Don't settle for a color that's 'okay'; or options that aren't what you really want but 'you can live with'; etc. I would suggest making a list of 'must haves' that might include color; trans type; interior trim. Then narrow your search to only Z's that fit those requirements. As my parents taught me, 'if you buy what you want and high quality, you'll only wince once'. Best, Paul
