Default Starting issue

My 2016 stingray will start strong most days but some days it's real week and even when I drive for a little bit, stop and get gas and some times it won't start back. Put a new alternator on it and it was fine for a while and then started doing it again. Checked new alternator and it shows good, checked battery and it shows good🤷 . What should I check next.

Is it AC Delco? Passing a battery test at Auto Zone doesn't mean its necessarily good.

At four years, you're in the "Battery Roulette Zone", depending on where you live... Average battery life is 3 - 4 years in most climates.

That's why I replace mine every three years regardless. For the price of a new battery, that is pretty cheap insurance.

Battery. The LT engine is like the LS. I would go through new batteries every 2 years with the PHX heat and high compression starts of the LS. The LT is the same way and hard on turn over, so weakens batteries out every few years. If your battery is older then 2 or 3 years, replace it, even if it tests good.

When, I picked up my used 2016 from CarMax, they put a new off-brand battery in it. I started having problems after a year. I replaced it with an AC Delco 42 month Battery and no more issues.

The battery is cheap insurance and worth adding to your maintenance schedule particularly if you live in a hot climate like mine here in south Texas.

I would be looking at the battery since it is 4 years old. May not be it, but an easy thing to rule out.

if its not cranking over strong then i would agree its leading towards the battery.
if its cranking over strong but just not starting especially after warmed up sounds like possible other issues possible spark/fuel related..

either way with an older battery and issues around cranking certainly pointing to a battery related issue.

could always pull it get it tested to get an idea. but its on the older end of its life most likely.
