Default Hey all - Deciding...

Hey all - See my previous posts about my love for the vette' and all it represents to me and my fam.
I have a 19' vert, M7. Zo6. WGG metalic. EDIT to add: 3LZ pacakge. No Z07. Simple interior, black. Carbon Fiber where it should be IMO. No mods, less the Jake airbox (was dealer installed and have the original). Also, did the full clear wrap (full body), as well as tint (all windows, clear on the winshield). Still have the white canvas covering it would have shipped with (I did the factory delivery and they gave me that canvas)

Under 4k miles (think its about 3400), most on one trip to Miami. It was a C7 of the month years' ago.
Perfect in most ways, may have some flat-spotted tires (I wish I have time to drive it more)

It's been "caught" in the rain 3-4 times, but always garage-kept.

As I saw the date on this photo (6/2018), I feel old. We (wife and I) picked it up in Bowlling Green on exactly 4.20.2018. Seems like yesterday.

ANYWAY, any thoughts on value/resale/desirability? I am ONLY considering a sale bacause I have a line on an-almost exact '69 Stingray that my father owned (and had to sell because they were preggers with me) (again, see older posts from me).

I also have Mamo Throttle Body that is still in the plastic bag (wanted to install but never did)

I apoligize if this is the wrong forum, but just looking for any advice from the Vette Collaborative/Ccommunity.

Are you the original owner? I may be interested if the price is reasonable.

Yes; I ordered it ~January 2018. Picked it up 4.20.2018 as a 2019 model. In Bowling Green, my "host" was a man named Larry McCool (really); Have the R8C plaque, (not for sale); did the whole "buy the laminated window sticker" deal at the factory. Have all the stuff that came with it.

I'm not 100% sure; but it may be a 1-of-3 or better.

Again, I am only inquiring on a potential sale due to the fact that I have a line on a similar C3 that my father (who has passed) had before I was born...

I have his C5 (1998 Vert, M6, etc); love it, but may want to replicate his C3, because....

IDK, nostalga.

Apologize if I seem sketch, just trying to think it through.

If you can review my posts here you can see this evolution (on my C7)

Moved to C7 general. If you're trying to get feedback on how much to sell it for, that kind of thread belongs here. Once you decide to actually sell it, and you have an asking price, you can create a for sale thread.

I like to use Cargurus to get an idea for asking prices on corvettes. I just checked and saw a similar one for $85k but it had only 1519 miles. Also it was a dealer so their asking prices are usually a little higher. They rated it as a good deal so $80k would be the minimum I would ask for yours.

I understand the nostalgia thing and only you can decide. That said the difference between a C3 and C7 is Flintstones to Jetsons. I recently sold my ‘69 and bought a ‘19 which was one of the best moves I’ve made in my car history. And all of that said, I would ask $82k and not take less than $80k.

I'm in love with a '67 Lynndale Blue a buddy of mine is looking to possibly sell.

There is nothing I'd love more than to own this car. Looks, runs drives perfect. Drove it before he was considering selling, it drove like a dream. Drove it again recently after he started talking about selling, loved it, but got out of it and got back into my Z06. On the drive home I realized something...

I'm in love with the IDEA of owning a '67 Lynndale Blue a buddy of mine is looking to possibly sell.

We all have our preferences and wish lists. Not to say that my '67 dream or your '69 are not incredible cars, but giving up my '19 Z06 for a '67 or a '69 is a tough call. Owning both, absolutely. Giving up the beast for a cruiser? I couldn't do it.

That said, given your description, I'm with dvilin. Wouldn't go much below 85k. Best of luck with whatever you decide

I'd keep the car instead of selling to buy the '69. You've got a very rare and beautifully striking 2019 as you ordered it. Z06, M7 convertible, no less!

I understand the desire to own a classic Vette (heck I would like to do it too), but as other have said it would be a tough decision to give up a more modern car which has all the creature comforts and technology (as well as safety features).

Only you can decide which is more important to you. I certainly would ask in the mid-$80K range for the car.

From experience - bought a '66 convertible that was exactly like my first car - the nostalgia anticipation was WAY better than the actual participation. When I was 21 the car drove like a dream, 30 years later it seemed like my dad's old dump truck. So I sold the nostalgia Vette a year later to make room for a Ferrari. That all said, from your low mileage you don't even drive your Z06 so comfort is not that important. Also, and this is important C3 Corvettes are VERY tight on the inside - much smaller than your C7 or even a C3. My wife had a '72 and I could BARELY even get in and out of it as my head would be very near the T-top and my shoulder was jammed to the door. I'm not huge (6-2 195) so in this case maybe it actually isn't me. No idea how big you are but just something you might need to consider. Good luck with your quest, not a bad problem to have!

Again, Thanks all.
I apologize if this post seems like fishing, not intended that way. I haven't been in the game as much as I was in the past and am/was just looking for some cheap info. As usual, CF provided.

I am not likely to get rid of my C7 (ever), but just really had to ask the question. I've been chasing down an exact matching C3 for a few years now, and fell into one.

I just wanted to do the math on all of my options.

PS; my C7 has exactly 1904 on the clock. Fired her up last night to verify.

Actual window sticker - Also have the laminated one I bought at the factory delivery.

Mom made Pops get rid of his Stingray when they were expecting me. 4 speed, Vert, factory AC. It wasnt until 1998 that he was able to get another (the C5 vert, pewter,, 1998 that I still have ~18k on the clock, 6 speed, last of the flip-up headlights)

If you want an ongoing project of sorts, buy a vintage car. Some people like the chore of keeping up with what it may need. That's why I buy em new. Then there's the garage space necessary for it. The plus side of a vintage Corvette is that it's likely to retain it’s value over time.

Thx Joe.

I remember watching some of your old posts. Respect.

Investigating a C8 / Z06 - I like them new as well. I will miss the manual, but my wife could drive one, and she'd look extra hot in a mid-engine.

I've been trying to decide what I would ask if I were going to sell mine. I came uo with $90K for a ELB, 2019 M7, 2LZ with 6600 miles. $15K in Cosmetic mods. Realistically probably only get $85K which is almost not worth it, considering how awesome a car it is. You see a lot of dealers asking $90K-$95K for low milage M7, 2019 Z06's. If I were you I'd start at $90K and depending how bad you want to sell it not take less than $85K.

Keep your car! I'm not going to go out and buy a cadillac because my dad had one, that's silly. You have the better car and it's not close. You will wish you didn't sell it.

What are the mods? I don't understand why people dump thousands into their Vettes, drive them on the weekend and then sell them a few years later.. If your going to swap cars every few years, what's the point?
