These places are ridiculous.
Carvana in 2022 offered me 32k for my 1LT Stingray. I sold it to a local dealer ( not a person) for $40k ( it was the height of COVID and high car demand. I did not want people test driving my car.)
Carvana and Carmax offered me $12k for my 2012 E550 coupe that was mint. I sold it on FB marketplace in about 2 weeks for 17k
Carmax offered me 5k for my 2012 Armada with high miles. I sold it on FB marketplace for 9.5k
OP, I have learned never to trade or sell a used car to a dealer.
FB Marketplace is awesome if you weed out the tire kickers and the scammers. It does not take much to do that.
Advertise it there, not just list it. I did the 25 dollar/ 3 day run doing three on and three off then 3 back on.
With less than a 100 bucks I got my price, every time.
A 2014 should bring 35k to 45k depending on mileage and condition.
Good luck!!

C7 forever!
I agree! I’ll keep mine until I’m gone. Besides…I took a 2020 out for a test drive and didn’t like it at all. There’s no hood to see. Just a couple of small fender bumps in view. I thought it totally took away from the historical corvette feel. My wife said the passenger side was very bad compared to my C7 as there is nowhere to rest her left arm due to the dash design.

About a month ago I got offers from Driveway, Carvana, and Vroom. All were around $60-61k. Those were all dealer trade-in prices. So I listed it on FB marketplace for $68k and had a buyer immediately (exactly what he was looking for). I changed my mind and kept it because I wasn't ready to part with it. Private party is always going to yield more money. The problem is all the tire kickers and scams when you're dealing with relatively large amounts of money. It's not fun.

Getting it sold always brings a higher price than trading it in. Everybody know that. However, unlike buying it from a dealer, you have no recourse with me. Soon as money changes hands, it can blow up in a fireball for all I care. The brakes and tires do not have to be within spec. It is a used car and AS IS. As a dealer, if I take it in and you have a problem, I have to make it right (safety items). I have to advertise it and weed out the tirekickers. So I'm not interested in "trading dollars". I have to buy it for less and sell it for more. I totally accept that when I buy and/or sell to a dealer. The dealer for the C7 had to warranty it for a month so I could check it out. They got of lucky with just a key replacement and program.
