Much thanks for the advice. I failed to include that I just purchased a 2015 Z51 that likes to switch down to V4.
Congratulations on the purchase. I'm sure that you will enjoy it. I recommend the Range product. I've had it in place for a couple of years and it works as advertised. If your state requires an inspection there is a reasonable chance that you will need to remove the device and put the car through a few drive cycles to ready it for inspection.
You might also check to see if the vehicle has had the "triple flush". This process is to flush the old formulation transmission fluid and replace it with the new (roughly March 2019) ATF. It's not inexpensive, and there can be significant variation in price between dealerships. As I understand it the new fluid does not absorb water thus doing a better job of preserving shift quality and transmission parts, particularly the torque converter.
I checked with the local Chevy dealer today regarding the transmission flush. Nearly $800. I don't know if that is high, low or about right.
Also trying to locate a set of mint OEM chrome wheels. Mine has the black wheels which I dislike. Looked at a set today here in Louisville. They have the "Corvette" logo on the outside of the rim, but I couldn't find a GM part number on the inside. Not sure if they are OEM, although I would guess GM would not allow any wheel manufacturer to use the "Corvette" logo?
Already love this Z51. It will go. This is my 66th Vette. Mostly owned mid-years. I also have a 2002 with 11,400 miles that I will be selling.
If I read the owners manual correctly the variable displacement only occurs in ECO mode and does not work in Sport or Track. If that is correct, why buy one of these devices when you can turn the feature off with your driving mode?

That sounds about right ASSUMING they have the machine to do it. THIS is the process, I believe. See if they have that machine and 24 quarts of fluid. At $18 a quart it comes to $432 of fluid plus tax. After which, we have to consider labor to flush it several times, etc.
You can buy the fluid at walmart for about $10 a quart. Bring it to the dealer when you bring the car in if you decide to flush. Rockauto hast the filter, gasket, etc. for less than half of what the dealer will charge you.

I'm seeing $69 plus tax for a 6 pack. Unless you feel lucky enough to trust in the other sellers. They might not want to work with parts you bring in. I don't blame them.
Good luck with Rock Auto. I can't afford their prices since it comes with a good potential for aggravation.

Most dealerships won't. They want to make the money from selling the parts and they typically warrant their work and they would probably be uneasy using someone else's parts for that reason.

They would be good if it was something they don't carry but usually not for you to use a cheaper price part and lose the profit from the parts department
I drove mine in Sport mode yesterday and it still reverted to V4. It only stopped when I put it in manual and used the paddles.
I bought my 2014 new. It has never been in V4 mode because I always use the paddle shifters. More engaged driving it that way and no need for an aftermarket device.
