Just bought a 2017 Grandsport with 4800 miles. Going to change all the fluids and filter, just because. This is what I found when I pulled out the cabin filter. Any ideas where or what all that came from?

It has been infected with one or more rodents!! Lots of stories on this forum about this! Get a small vacuum attachment in there and suck out all debris. Then leave it open for a night or 2 with some traps close by. Then, watch for the next few months for electrical gremlins (chewed wires).
I had a mouse problem with mine last winter. Apparently rodents hate strong perfumes. So this winter I stuck a bunch of the most perfume-y, obnoxious dryer sheets I could find right onto the filter itself. Also stuffed some into the holes where the wipers come out of, as well a bunch all over the engine bay.
I also sprayed my entire car cover with Axe body spray. No mouse issues this winter, and the car (and garage) smells pretty good too. lol
definitely happens to some folks. uninvited guest for sure.
crazy how they get in there.
I didnt have any issues with mine when i checked it, it was just extremely dirty and leaves and such. the dealer i bought the car from really only did nan oil change and new tires, but didnt check that filter nor the clutch fluid....
I did notice the cover itself wasnt fully tight against the box via the metal clip things, so i bent them some more to put way more pressure to hold it alot more snug to the box for a way better seal.

sprayed it down with Axe? How do the ladies not all drop their panties when you drive by, lol?
Same happened to me when mine arrived from St. Louis with 5300 miles. Open windows/doors allow the little fockers to get in through the vents in the foot wells and up into the filter area. It's the only way they can get in if the filter door is closed. Vacuumed everything out, new filter in and no more issues. My other car, that sits outside, is another issue...
