Default Camera 2015 Stingray

I see a camera in the front windshield to the right of my rearview mirror. I looked in the manual but only see rear view camera. What is this camera for and how does it work please ? Thanks

Programmable data recorder, it's an option of all Corvettes maybe with the exception of the 1LT, (but don't quote me on that one).

I didn't cross reference, but I have it on my 17 base.

Interesting I thought the Camera/PDR was only available on 2LT and up. I guess not.

My 17 base is a 2LT. In my original response I agreed with your assertion that it was not available on the 1LTs. (Base as in not a Grand Sport, Z06 or ZR1.)

Always good to figure out what an item on the car actually does.

That's why I read through front to back the owners manual when I got my first C7. A wealth of information, highly recommend reading it!

It is the PDR or Performance Data Recorder, and it was only available in 2015 in a 3LT package. It is great if you track the car as it will give a lot of info, but it is just as good as a dash cam under normal driving conditions.

not exactly correct, it could be added as an option, RPO code UQT, my 2015 2LT has it.
