Default Mild2Wild Keyfob

I have the M2W keyfob remote for my exhaust and thought I had read somewhere you can program one of your sun visor remote buttons for this.

Has anyone tried or more importantly succeeded?

I wish I had NPP, my car sounds tamed... I think I''m gonna end up buying an exhaust.

Yes, use the mild to wild fob exactly like you would a garage door opener to learn to your home link. Works great!

  1. Turn your vehicle’s ignition switch to the second (or "accessory") position.
  2. Position the gate operator handheld transmitter 1 to 3 inches away from the HomeLink surface (usually located on your visor, overhead console, or mirror), keeping the HomeLink indicator light in view.
  3. Using both hands, simultaneously press and hold both the desired HomeLink button and the gate operator handheld transmitter button. Continue to press and hold the HomeLink button while you press and re-press ("cycle") your handheld transmitter every two seconds until the frequency signal has been learned.

More simply,

just hold the fob near the home link button and press (and hold) both the fob button and the home link button to program. The home link button will flash fast once programmed

do it for both buttons and use two homelink buttons.

‘Dang, I spent 30 minutes out there the other morning trying to add it and my shop door with the car “running” and couldn’t get either one to work. So I put the cover on it and went back to work, LOL

Sometimes you have to do a full reset of your homelink first if the buttons you are trying to program already have a code copied. To do this, hold both outside homelink butting (1 and 3) for 15 seconds. The lights will flash and you will have reset the homelink. From there you can program them.

Just keep in mind that you’ll have to reprogram your garage door as well if you do this since you’ll reset all three buttons.

hope that helps..

Yup, in my 2019 GS, use it with my visor too. Left = closed, right = open, middle = garage door.

Mine stays open 99.9999% of the time. About the only time I ever play with it is "Hey, wanna see something?"

Yup, my far right button is "quiet". my far left button is "loud". Center button does the garage door.
