I finally did the install of the extender I had ordered from @MidAmericaMotorworks months ago (they were extremely easy to deal with and delivered as promised). It had been too cold up till now and today the sun is shining bright and tolerable.
This must be the best 100 dollars I spent in my life, what a world of difference!!! I am a midget and pushing the clutch in was a struggle even with my seat up close. Installing the extender has increased the fun factor of the car by far, strongly recommended for anybody who is vertically challenged like myself (5'7" here).
I am closer to average at 5'9" but the extender has made my car a lot more enjoyable. I used to think about pushing the clutch to be sure i pushed far enough. I don't think about it now. I think it also helped the 1-2 shift.
Thinking about this mod. It's not overall height, it's leg length. I'm 5'6 but my sitting height is normal, just short legs (29" inseam).
USAF tests you for sitting height before approving you for fighters.
Thanks for posting this OP.
I'm short (5'7" isn't short), and this has worked very well for me. My inseam is also about 29, and it's true that the issue is really about how far you have to push the clutch. If you are reading this and wonder if it's worth it, the answer is yes. Regardless of how long your legs are.
@Mad*Max , would you mind posting a pic or the MidAmerica part #? I don't need one, but I'm just curious. I checked their website, and the highest price C7 clutch extender that I saw was only $49.99 (this one: https://www.mamotorworks.com/corvett...tension-698917).

You are absolutely correct, I am providing the link below for others' quick reference. What you need to be cognizant of is that I am in the great white north and by the time you add fx conversion, taxes and shipping, the USD 50 turned into exactly CAD 100!!!

I suppose I could suggest you move down to the states to save a few bucks, but that seems extreme, even to me.
Thanks for the explanation; I couldn't figure out what I was missing!
I would love to move the US, in fact I really like Virginia, every year driving to Florida our overnight stay is in Wytheville (both ways), really like the place and vicinity!
Driving today I realized why the driving experience has also improved, since I am sitting much further back the shifting of the gears has improved in terms of feel and flow.
