I've been slowly updating the interior. I thought the 2014 2LT interior was lacking in the Kalahari. I bought the dash parts new and wrapped the wheel from Redline parts. I'm undecided about changing the door panels, but might do it. Otherwise, I think this should have been the way it came new. The 3LT goes a little too far with the whole dash being covered, so this seems like a happy medium.
If you want to recover the wheel, it was not too hard. It took about 4 or 5 hours to do it, but I was being picky about it and taking my time. I did a couple of stitches then went back, tightening the last 5 or 6 rows so it was evenly stretched along the length of the stitching. I think it came out great! The leather has a nicer feel than factory. I have a few spots that look slightly uneven, and it's from the glue - if I did it again, I'd probably use a lower viscosity glue, like superglue. The leather feels nicer and looks better since it's not shiny.

I have a 2016 2LT with two tone interior black/gray interior. So my seats have gray inserts, the center console and door arm rests are gray. I want to do the batwing and maybe the passenger dash panel. But, I won't do them unless I can do the doors and don't want to buy 3LT doors.
The batwing is $150 new so that's an easy swap.
Do you have a plan to tackle the trim pieces on the door where the batwing lines up on the driver's side and the dash piece lines up on the passenger side?

My plan is to try to buy the door panels used. New ones are super expensive, and I could just replace the insert for less than whole panels. If I can't get the door panels, I will probably have a local upholstery shop cover the existing parts. FYI, Apsis offers the driver side spear for $280, and I'm sure they can do the passenger side for a similar cost.
