I found another C7 today and purchased it, I noticed the glove box in both cars did the same thing. You hit the button and they didn’t pop open you have to almost pry them down.
‘Is there an adjustment or am I just not holding my mouth right when I push the button to open. 😂😂
Something's amiss... Unaware of any adjustment, but both my '17 and '19 dropped freely...
edit - it's worth noting that I had the owner's manual package in the glove box at the time... unsure how it would behave if empty.

Interesting about the manual because the manual was in it and it opened fine took manual out and it wouldn’t drop. Took a trim tool and tried to put a little pressure on it to open it to no avail. Will dove back into that tomorrow.
Well had to use plastic trim tool on the right side of the glove box opening to get it open. Then moved the electronic latches in and out a few times tried it again and it worked once. After slightly wedged the trim tool on the right side and it popped open every time. So the gap must be too tight on that side but it’s weird because both the C7’s did the same exact thing?
I'm sure this isn't the problem, but check that it's not in Valet Mode. That will lock the glove box. But I doubt you could pry it open that easily if it was.

Definitely not in valet mode screen goes up and down and you can hear the electric latch clicking when you hit the glovebox button. That was a good thought though, Thank You 👍
