2014 Shifter cable?

Hello all.....Well I did it to myself...While installing my AWE Track axle back exhaust I apparently put a kink in my shifter cable and now it won't shift through gears. On that I have ordered a new shifter cable and was wondering if anyone has ever changed it and if so any special things to look for? Thanks!

I changed mine on my C6 when I did fuel pump. Removed tunnel cover plate and panel around shifter ****. Had to make sure cable was adjusted properly. Not a big deal on the C6 and I assume the C7 isn’t much different??

Not much help but I’ll get you a bump to the top!

Well got it changed today. Had to remove XPipe, heat shield blanket and drivers side exhaust pipe. Wasn’t an extremely hard job but did present some challenges. Would have been a lot easier if I had smaller hands…lol
