Does someone know the paint code/color of the gray on these wheels?
I would like to paint the center caps.
Hey C7 guys.....is this a GM C7 wheel or a reproduction?
I think the center cap is aftermarket, but do not know if there are aftermarket reproduction wheels that have the "CORVETTE" lettering in the rim.
This is from the Craigslist ad, says there are four GM wheels....but ??? I would be putting these onto my C5.
Appreciate comments....
Thanks.

I'm not an expert on all wheel options but that looks like a reproduction. My C7 wheels have the Corvette type on the inside lip of the wheel, not on the outside lip. I'm sure others will add their expertise.
Agreed. The back of the wheel is where you want to look. The center caps are not factory, but they might have swapped the OE to their new wheels and left the blanks with the old set.
I have asked for better pictures from the seller.....will see if they respond.
I did an ebay search and only found one other set of wheels that had CORVETTE on the rim. That listing also said they were GM wheels.....but did not show a clear picture of the backside.....hhmmmmm......

Again, I could be wrong.
Edit - it's a stock wheel - found identical OEM sets on fleabay.
that is a factory wheel. Aftermarket reproductions do not have the Corvette lettering on their wheels. That particular wheel first appeared on the 2016 Corvette I believe. Great looking set of wheels IMO.
those are definitely factory OEM wheels from a 2016-2017 non-Z51 base Corvette, and they should be 18/19 size
this particular wheel design is somewhat rare; the non-Z51 base wheel from 2014-2015 is also pretty uncommon. I sold my 2015 base wheels for $500 when I switched to the Z51 wheels. The purchaser was able to install them onto a C4 with an adapter plate and some other modifications
the non-Z51 base model switched to the Z51 wheels (19/20 size) as standard equipment starting in 2018
These wheels will look great on a C5!! please post photos if you purchase and install
Will be meeting the seller on Sunday afternoon to get these wheels, unless something happens before then.
Was not going to install anytime soon due to the different tire sizes, however I could put my existing 18" rear tires onto the front and then get new 19" tires for the back; might do that.
The wheels have a new home with me! Actually got five wheels, one aftermarket one that has some curb rash. The seller just wanted these wheels out of his garage.
Anyways one last question; has someone filled-in CORVETTE with paint/powder coat / ?? How was it done?
As I had a 2.5 hrs drive home after getting the wheels, was wondering if I could fill-in CORVETTE with magnetic red paint (my C5 color) and how it would look..???

Congrats! I personally wouldn't recommend filling in or painting the CORVETTE logo stamp on the wheel. It's an already fairly busy wheel design, and this style of OEM wheel looks best when you keep it OEM/non-modified.
Actually, I'd rather have a black set of them on my '18 St'ray than the 19/20s that came on it. Every little bit of extra sidewall on real roads cannot hurt. Enjoy.
Painting or filling-in the CORVETTE lettering is not something I am going to do soon, if at all, was just thinking on the drive home. I would first put them on as they are with the exception of the plain center cap. I have already ordered C5 emblems/decals to put on them from Corvette Garage.
I did find one picture where someone painted/filled-in CORVETTE with yellow on a black wheel, too much for me.
Think I will really like having 18s/19s on the C5....fill-out those wheel wells better. No desire to go 19s/20s....either for the "look" or the even shorter sidewalls as Avanti mentioned above.
Bringing this old thread of mine back...with another question for you C7 guys.....
Anyone happen to know the gray paint code or name that is on these wheels?
I do not like the chrome center caps and would like to paint them the same gray color, then put the C5 logo on.
