The pad warning sensors are disconnected, I wouldn’t make any assumptions about the TPMS being set up properly. Fortunately, both are fairly easy fixes.

They don't operate from grounding. The rotor will wear the wires housing from friction and create an open circuit triggering the light.

As brake pad wear sensors are designed to break or complete a circuit by contacting the brake rotor, they aren’t a reusable item. Brake pad wear sensors should be replaced with every brake pad change.

It's like a wire loop coming in/out, so two pins on the connector. I'll check if I have an old one sitting around in the shop later and take photos of one that has worn through the mounting tab on a Porsche.

They are "re-usable" if you swap pads before the housing has worn through. Luckily the design is cheap and simple enough that replacements are low money.
