3LT dash issues on black dashes?
Do 3LT cars with black interior (and therefore black dash) have the same lifting issues that other colors have?

All colors are affected & as Gixxerman stated, it is completely random, People have posted here that their cars are totally garage kept out of the sun & still peeled......this issue started with the C6 & continued on through the C7 generation

It is interesting that it only happens to the 3LT cars (from what I understand). What is different about their dashes vs. 1LT or 2LT cars?

From what I've seen of my 3LT black dash and what is posted on the forum It appears to me that there are several issues, because the failures seem to vary from glue letting go to dash material tearing, to dash surface disfiguring?
Mine was glue letting go in several small places including the HUD area. I had local upholstery shop re glue it, which required removing the windshield and the shop did their thing . Looks like new. This shop also reported they had done a couple dozen Vettes as well as other makes too? So here are my thoughts
1. There is not enough info available to us to see a pattern. I suspect GM determined what the issues are and made some changes in later C7's. As far as I know they have not shared their finding??
2. there was bad glue or glue applied wrong during manufacture? or a glue curing problem?
3. some had bad leather and this contributied to the failures, we have many products suppied by offshore suppiers that have **** poor quality control- it could be leather, glue, or dash understructure or whatever
4. There could be environmental issues- meaning parking car in heat and cold, or lots of sun? Could be dash cleaners might have effected the glue or leather or vyl
5. Corvettes have high percent garage Queens and so hard to collect data on failures? it takes a long time to see patterns?
I would like to see GM stand by their products better but they are what they are!
