Default Radiator Help Needed

Hi Guys,

i need a new radiator on my 2014 C7 Z51 M7,
basically looking on ebay (i'm in Italy) i found in Germany one shop that has it.
On their auction clearly sasys to fit a "Z51 Targa/Coupe".

After i made the purchase, i've looked to the part code and it is: 23155249 (GM3010567)
But, by looking my old radiator, the code is actually: 23267151.

After i went to check on GM parts online website, and all of them says it would not fit my Z51, probably because 23155249 is for Stingray without the performance package (not Z51 probably?).

Can someone please confirm the differences? the radiator looks absolutely identical to mine in every detail.
does GM makes different radiator for Z51 and non Z51? also could be different from auto to manual trans?

Please help.

I did some research and it does appear there are two types of radiators for the C7 (base and Z51). I dont know what the difference is and I havent seen any threads on this (at least lately)

fun fact is that the code i have says suitable for stingray (not Z51) and Z06 and GS as well.
How could be fine for GS and Z06 and not Z51? makes no sense.

Any experts that can come and clear our doubts?
what is the difference between the 2 radiators?

I was once told that all the export C7's automatically came with Z51, and I believe all the Z51's came with an oil cooler in the radiator.
Automatics might also have a transmission cooler built in there, but with a M7 the OP might not need one.
I suspect, but don't know for sure, that the actual coolant part of the radiator is identical.
Let us know what you find!

The oil cooler is mounted on the driver's side of the engine alongside the crankcase.

OP, the oil cooler has an outlet hose that connects to the driver's side radiator tank. Since your car is a Z51 it has to have the port in the tank so the coolant coming out of the oil cooler can merge with the coolant flow leaving the radiator.

Here are a couple of diagrams that show where the oil cooler outlet hose runs and attaches to the radiator.

The picture at the upper shows where the hose connects to the radiator. A base Stingray won't have this port.

So the engine coolant goes back to the oil cooler, instead of running the oil up to the radiator. A nicer setup, thanks.
