Ok, new issue. I searched the forum and couldn’t find any posts covering the following problems. The car has been sitting for a couple of weeks. The last time I drove it XM was on for free for a week or so, but is off now. I mention this because part of the issue concerns XM radio. Problems:
1. Steering wheel volume switch will not work.
2. While listening to my usb music the steering wheel track/channel advance switch will only toggle between xm channels even though “Media” is selected. The manual track/channel button by the radio works fine.
3. The speed limit sign on the speedometer will not display anything even though the GPS is working fine.
I know these are some weird issues but everything worked fine the last time I drove it. Any help will be appreciated.
The thing that comes to mind is the possibility that your battery may be dying, how old is it? If the battery is fine, these issues are so weird that I think you need to reboot your car. Not kidding, I think a battery disconnect, wait 10 or 15 minutes and reconnect may be in order. Good luck with resolution.

I didn't think of that. It's the original battery in a 2017 GS. When not in use I keep a Battery Tender Junior connected all of the time. I think that I'll get a new battery on Monday and give that a try, Thank you!!!!

Another consideration could be the clock spring if a battery doesn't do the trick.
I went with the “Change Battery” idea. I think that did the trick. Everything works now except the TPMS read outs, but I’m sure that when I drive it 10 or so minutes they will re-calibrate. The funny thing is that I didn’t have to re-index my windows. It was without power for a couple of hours, when I reconnected the new battery the only things I had to set were the time and date. Did I mention how much of a PITA it was getting the old battery out! I replaced it with an AC Delco from the local Chevy dealer.
