Default P06DD Code

I have 19 GS M7 that is just shy of 5,000 miles. It was in winter storage, and I drove it for the first time for about 300 feet at about 30 MPH when the check engine light came on along with the engine power reduced warning. The OBDII gave a P06DD code, Engine Oil Pressure Control Solenoid Valve Stuck Off. The oil pressure stayed at about 36 PSI at idle speed. I searched the web and the forum. The vehicles with same P06DD code on the web were typically high mileage vehicles that were poorly maintained. On this forum, the issues were typically resulted from possibly mods. Mine is all stock, zero modification. However, I found one member suggested to change the oil filter.

I changed the oil filter and oil. It seemed to correct the pressure issue. The pressure slowly came down to 25 PSI when the engine temp reached at about 199 degrees and oil temp at about 160 degrees. I drove it for about 10 miles on a highway. No check engine light or warnings. I parked the vette as it was getting late at night. The next day, the car started and waited a few minutes at idle, the oil pressure slowly dropped from 36 to about 33/32. I drove about 300 feet at about 30 MPH; the check engine light came on as well as the engine power reduced warning. I parked the vette and let it ran idle. When the engine and oil temperature rose to 199 and 160 degrees, respectively, the oil pressure dropped back down to 25 PSI at idle speed. This time, I did not do a test drive.

Is the Oil Pressure Solenoid Valve covered under the 5 years/100,000 power train warranty?

If so, is it a good idea to drive it to the dealership that is about 25 miles away? I really don’t want it tow to the dealership, and I also don't want to ruin the engine by driving it to the dealership.

Thank you.
