Default Question about a plastic fastener

I found a black plastic fastener on the passenger floor in my c7 and was wondering if there is anywhere in the car where a black plastic fastener would have fallen off. Either it fell off somewhere or it is from something completely different. Any help is appreciated, I just need to know, hopefully it is from something else.

Welp, a picture of said fastener would probly be a great help with any identification of said fastener.

It's a panel fastener. If you look up under the dash you may see a vacant hole.

Well I looked but no luck so far. Either I'm blind or it isn't from the car. While I was looking I happened to find another loose part so yay... https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...in-my-car.html

Sheesh, those are used in about any and everything. It is not like most GM's I've had experience with, but more like a generic you see in sacks at parts stores. It may have dropped off/out of about anything you or someone else had in your car. I'd not worry... unless the nearest fender falls off!

The bulk of the Corvette is held together with plastic fasteners. Screws are the exception any more for weight (and cost) reasons. I was blown away by how many parts on my previous Porsche were held together with velcro or press-tight plastic fasteners.

Fasteners like that are commonly used on the C7. Unless you can find where that one goes, just keep it as a spare.

Just a thought, if you're lucky it might fit your fuel door and you can use it for the mod some here have done to prevent a lock out (me included).
