A little heat... LITTLE... from a hair dryer can help, too. Instead of adhesive remover, I prefer Goo Gone, or liquid car wax, or even WD40 for assorted residues. If you do not have sufficient finger/thumb-nails to do the initial "lifting" recruit someone who does. I've successfully removed stickers and emblems from every vehicle I've owned for years, except for one antique roadster.

If you don't want to do it yourself, figure a couple hundred for a shop to pull the stickers off, remove the residue, and lightly wax the area.
A little heat and then some 3M Adhesive Remover works wonders if you follow the DIY route.

This does sound like a pretty accurate estimate for a shop to do the work. Some of those should definitely come off.
