Default Convertible top issue

Has anyone had experience with the power top being intermittently inoperative? My 2019 GS (18,000 mi.) is currently at the dealership for this issue. They don't seem to know what causes this. I've had the experience of trying to close the top after a few of hours of top down driving and nothing happens. But, later the top will close when the switch is pressed. Conversely, the top would not open, but performed perfectly when I was at the dealership.

My top would stop about half way and I would have to hit the unlock button and then the top button and it would continue…I later realized after I changed the remote battery, I had no more problems. I think the remote losses it’s signal strength as the battery gets weak and therefore stops the top from moving

Wow 3 weeks at the dealership. Too bad they didn't order the parts and let you drive it. Good you have it back and in working order. I wonder why it needed two trim panels maybe they were damaged upon removal. It seems as if it only needed a sensor and a cylinder but good you have it back again.

This is why I keep a tarp in my trunk. You know the top will fail when it's about to rain
