I just picked up this z51 and was wondering if anyone can tell me anything about these aftermarket tail lights. They have yellow sequential turn signals but they are black with lights turned off.

Reason: Need to add pic
I’m not really sure if I like the looks of the blacked out tail lights. They look really good at night. I’ll try and post a video of them in action this evening.
I thought white lights facing rearward other than reverse lights were illegal? Unless you have the car in reverse which is probably the case (just couldn't see a driver's head).

The car is in reverse which activates the white reverse lights.
I have them as well from Paragon Performance, I have the smoked out ones as well and absolutely love the look, but I will say they are made poorly. Mine are just over a year old (and mind you my vette is garage kept and never exposed to the elements other than the sun when driving) and my tail lights are already deteriorating and paint fading. I contacted Paragon and Korey basically told me to pound sand because it’s outside their 1 year warranty. Horrible service and experience and will never buy from them again.
that is so strange. Mine are almost 2 years old. I just went to the garage (we have similar use situations), washed mine and examined them with a bright LED light and did not see any fading or deteriorating.

mine are a few years old and have no issues either.

It's possible that he took the picture after shutting down and taking a quick picture before the automatic headlights shut themselves off. The reverse lights pop on in that situation. Reverse is a possibility too after reading the below. Lol.

it a manual shift and I leave it in reverse when parked.
