Default Z06 tire replacement

I have a 2015 Zo6. i don't track it. it has 30,000 miles and needs tires. I've run the factory Michelin Pilot Sports since new. The only last 15,000 miles. Any suggestions on an alternate tire that will last more than 15k miles and possibly ride better. The Michelins are not cheap!

I think you might want to move this question to the "C7 ZO6 Discussion".

I like the Michelin A/S 4 ZP all seasons on our `19 Grand Sport, but we don't have as much power as your ZO6. Not sure how the A/S would work on a Z.

If you're only interested in tire longevity; the Michelin or Continental all-season tires would be your best bet. I have the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 for my Z06 cold weather setup. They are fine for cold weather; but you give up a lot of performance in comparison to the Super Sports. My Z06 loses rear tire traction very easily with the all season tires. They also struggle to maintain grip when pushed hard into corners. Neither of those are attributes that you want in a sports car.

For my warm weather setup I have Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 non-run-flat summer tires. I absolutely love them. They have plenty of grip for the street. They are also a dramatic improvement in ride quality over the AS4 and Super Sport run flat tires. They are very smooth; and virtually eliminate all harshness when going over bumps & uneven cracks in the road.

Opinions vary, seems a shame to put all season on a Z, but if your just daily driving they would be fine

I have them on my 2019 Z06 for 6 or more months. Work perfectly fine for daily driving.

Agreed - if you want summer only option the Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 are a good choice

Unless you track or aggressively drive your car all the time, the all season tires will give you longer tire life. And anymore, they are not a disappointment for a regular driving duties.

To me putting all season tires on a Z06 is a down grade, I would want a max performance summer only tire

Get the Michelin A/S. That's really your best alternative based on your requirements.

You want to get more mileage out of the tires. The only way to accomplish this is to buy tires with less performance.

Either suck it up and pay for performance tires or degrade performance of the car and buy all seasons.

What is more important to you? I suspect saving money.

Your call.

OP did not mention whether he wants runflat tires or not.

For places we drive our 'vette, we consider runflats to be mandatory. They saved our bacon once.
If you just use the car for local trips and wouldn't mind waiting an hour or three for a flatbed, non-runflats will save you a few bucks and perhaps ride a bit smoother.
If you want runflats, I think you need Michelins; either way you can go to the Tire Rack website and see what's available for your car.

I got the continental all season. Non run flat. Very much improved the ride. And they are pretty sticky for a non competition tire. Reasonable price is the cherry on top.
