Default Window Seal squeaking?

Hey Guys,

I have a 2017 z51 Coupe and in the last couple of weeks, I noticed that my windows started when going up or down. The rubber seal still looks good to me but I am no expert. Is there something I can do to it to fix it? Like som type of compound or solution? or do I have to replace the trim pieces? Just to clarify it is the rear rubber seal by the rear window.

Silicone spray. Spray it onto a cloth and apply.

If you have any dielectric silicone grease, that works very well too. Just apply a thin coat & wipe off the excess.

Ive tried GM dielectric grease. What I didnt like about it is its sticky. It would rub off on my clothes. Maybe a bad batch.

Never had a problem with it. It may be a bad idea, but I spread it on with my fingers, then wipe it off with an old towel if needed. It is a little sticky though.....but keeps the weatherstipping lubricated indefinitely.

Would the wd-40 brand of Silicone spray work? and wouldn't the grease or spray make the window sticky?

then you would have wd40 all over the window i would think. mine only does it when it rains or after a wash, once its dry it stops

i plan to take my door panel off sunday and look at it again

I've been using it for years because it works very well both to silence squeaks and protect the weatherstrip.
But it is gooey and will stain your clothes if it gets on them. I wipe off as much as I can and avoid rubbing against it.
