I have a 2017 z51 Coupe and in the last couple of weeks, I noticed that my windows started when going up or down. The rubber seal still looks good to me but I am no expert. Is there something I can do to it to fix it? Like som type of compound or solution? or do I have to replace the trim pieces? Just to clarify it is the rear rubber seal by the rear window.
Ive tried GM dielectric grease. What I didnt like about it is its sticky. It would rub off on my clothes. Maybe a bad batch.
Never had a problem with it. It may be a bad idea, but I spread it on with my fingers, then wipe it off with an old towel if needed. It is a little sticky though.....but keeps the weatherstipping lubricated indefinitely.
mine started doing this after i fixed my door speaker, it looks like at the very back of the door panel i didnt get it in correctly. need to take it off this weekend and try to realign it

I've been using it for years because it works very well both to silence squeaks and protect the weatherstrip.
But it is gooey and will stain your clothes if it gets on them. I wipe off as much as I can and avoid rubbing against it.
