It's that time of year again and I'm shopping around for insurance. I have received quotes from several insurers and am now trying to decided which one to buy. My question is, does anyone have any experience with The Hartford (AARP)? What is their customer service and policy/claims track record? There are so many options and prices, so it comes down to how well the company treats it's policy holders!
I was just dropped by the Hartford on my 2020 Yukon on 01 May. They sent me a renewal notice in March and I put it on the back burner. Never got any correspondence about my policy coming up for renewal nor that they were cancelling me due to non payment by 01 May. I did not catch that I did not have any insurance for a few weeks and when I called them, they would not talk to me about being reinstated.
I also have my homeowners with them and I wanted to drop them so I started checking around and they were the cheapest and had the lowest deductibles.

If your Vette isn’t your everyday car have you tried NCM Insurance? Vette owners I know rave about how affordable it is, how good the coverage is, and that you can agree and lock in a car value.

I am insured with a smaller, regional insurance company called Madison Mutual. I have had them for the past two years and just got my renewal notice due next month. So far, I have no complaints about the company and their rates hae remained virtually unchanged since I first signed up with them. Might want to see if they service your area and get a quote.
Rates depend on your circumstances. In FL rates are high wherever you go,. I'm with Progressive. And my insurance dropped by $78/6months moving from my Charger to the C7. Go figure.
I made a company move 2 years ago and of course the new company slowly moved up rates for the reason of "cost of doing business"
to the point where I upped my deductibles to counter act the hike so far the newest 6 month period it went down a few bucks so im ok.
overall they were still the cheapest for my area.
i would agree having a company that actually has a great price & service is key. I tend to like when they have a phone app as well as do most of everything online even via chat. im not a phone person.
my daily driver truck is more than my vette per month now. $42 / $39.
good luck.
It was cheaper to add the Corvette to my Progressive policy than insure with the NCM insurance provider…and I don’t have the restrictions the NCM policy requires/mandates.
If you drive 6k miles or less then you should add NCM to your list of companies to quote. We have had them since we bought our Vette in 2021 and had a windshield claim within the first few months of ownership. They paid the claim and our insurance actually went down at renewal time the next year.
The rates are good and you get a stated value policy along with zero deductible on glass coverage.
We did the 6k max as we drive our Vette about that much a year. The good thing is if you go under your mileage they add it to the next year's count so you could go over the next year.
I've been using Wawanesa for a few years now and I am very happy with them. Great pricing, I pay $230 for my 17 vette and my Wife's 2021 VW Tiguan for top-notch coverage, and living in Cali, your insurance is already more expensive than average. I had a total loss on my old G wagon and they took care of it really fast. In under a week, they deposited the money straight into my bank account.
