I really like the ProClip phone mounts/holders for the C7 but wanted to know if there were any comparable quality less expensive alternatives before I drop this $75 on one? What do you guys have? Thanks for the info in advance!

As far as I’m concerned, the mount below is by far the cleanest looking mount you can buy. I was a little skeptical about it, but it is great! If you don’t want a charging mount it’s a great price…. that’s if your looking for an iPhone magnetic mount. Good luck in your search!
There are numerous alternatives that are cheaper and work well, but after using many different ones I settled on the ProClip for both my Silverado and my C7. It is hard to beat the custom fit bracket, and the phone holders are perfect (at least for my Galaxy phones). For me the price was fine.
For what it is worth, I would steer clear of the vent mounts, and any mount that requires adhesives/tapes. Also, carefully consider the mounting location and how it impacts access (physical and visual) to gauges, radio, dash controls, and vent function.

Good luck with your decision!!

You guys are making this decision hard lol! I plan to purchase either the ProClip or Course Motorsports mount today....decisions, decisions! Thanks for all the input!
I use this MagSafe charger and stick it on the same place as above. I think it looks pretty good, charge the phone and only cost $28.

A bit of a different take. I used the ProClip base for the C7, and bought a ball mount that screws into the Proclip base. Then you can buy your favorite Qi charger that mounts to a standard ball mount. The Qi chargers I like auto clamp. I grabbed power from under the dash.
I like simple & small. I opted for the little ball & magnet mount. I bought the nite Ize. I rather have the phone up near my eyes & the mount is small when the phone isn't on it. I can also turn it horizontal if I need.
The only input I have is my 2019 1LT refused to let me remove the grab handle cover, that you need to remove to install the Course unit. I tried so hard that I warped it and had to purchase a replacement cover. I sold the Course mount while waiting for the replacement part to arrive, then had the dealer remove and replace the cover, I just knew I would wreck something very expensive if I continued to work on it. As it was the dealer's technician had to break the clips on the cover to get it off. I believe it was a fluke of nature, but do be careful when removing the cover. I really like the design of the Course unit, but I can live without my phone while driving. Let us know how you make out.

I was sold on these as well and put one in my C7 and my '14 Silverado.

After watching their video, it took me 5 minutes. Piece of cake.

Yes I know, I watched the video several times and even conversed with stevettec7 from the previous post , he sent me a video of him taking his off, but to no avail on my particular car, probably a defective part at assembly or improper install during initial assembly, just offering a heads up to the OP to be careful when his arrives.
I had a pro clip in my last 2015 C7 that I installed after I added Android Auto to the car. It was very much worth the money.
I am not sure I am going to do that to this 2014 Stingray so I really do not see a point in having a phone mount.
Even if I did add the Android auto at some point, I would spend the money on a Motorola wireless dongle for Android Auto and keep the dashboard uncluttered.
I hear great things about Motorola adaptors.
Everything else runs through Bluetooth while the phone is in my pocket.
